Pieces of my Heart: Our 2nd Adoption from Ukraine

Our journey to adopt Anya, the girl we hosted summer 2011, began on September 9, 2011. She officially became Amber Noelle Macy on October 4, 2011. The video below is the day she said goodbye to her friends at the orphanage - October 5, 2011 (get your tissues ready). We arrived home on October 14, 2011. The rest of this blog chronicles our adoption journey and our time home since then.

(Anya) Amber Noelle

I met Anya at the train station in Kiev at the end of our trip to adopt Dennis. The kids were coming back from Christmas 2010 hosting and we spent a few hours together, had some dinner, and then I asked if she wanted to be hosted by our family. We hosted her summer 2011, along with Snezhana. She officially became a member of our family on October 4, 2011 - this blog is about our adoption journey (and what comes next)!
